Our Principles
Fun First
Learning has to be fun. More fun than passive entertainment. Interactive learning should be slightly challenging, adequate for a child's age, and rewarding when the challenge is completed. It is the excitement in the parent's face when solving a puzzle, or a compliment on that beautiful painting, that brings true happiness to a child's face. We design our games to foster creativity and natural curiosity, but most importantly, we make them fun to play for both you and your kids. The best way to play our games is together.
Based on
a Real World
No flying dogs and talking cars. Preschool children cannot yet fully comprehend the difference between fantasy and reality. That is why Montessori does not use fantasy books and fairytales in preschool education. Our heroes are people around us — farmers, construction workers, firefighters, police officers. What might seem boring to us is still exciting for preschool children. For them, the real world is new and interesting enough, so we should not complicate it with dragons and talking bears just yet. Let’s leave that for a later age.
Intuitive Controls
We design our games so a child can control them easily without your help. If the game is designed for a 4-year-old, a 3-year-old still has to be able to control it. Controlling the game should never be a challenge. Our games are 2D — we do not move or rotate the camera. We only use simple gestures like drag & drop and basic touch across all of our apps, usually allowing for more than one type of gesture to do the same thing, with a significant margin of error. We also display no ads or other distractions. We always carefully test and observe how children play our games before releasing them.
The Best Way
to Learn is to Play
We design educational games for preschool children that are intuitive, fun to play, and based on the real world around them.
Created by parents for those we love.
